Bambini

Little moments of joy.

A café concept inspired by vintage Italian cafés, beside a playground in a new family-focused sports and recreation park.

Product concept

Audience research put parents and their children at the heart of the experience. The concept centres on tiramisu in individual portions and portions to share, homemade soft-serve ice cream for children, and freshly made panini for something more substantial.

Brand experience

A colourful identity inspired by Italian summers, with playful packaging designed to stand out as guests carry it through the park. Marco, a young Italian mascot, was designed to become the voice of the brand, both in the café and on social media.

My role

Concept developer

Commissioned by the architectural team behind the park, I developed Bambini from initial audience research into a fully defined concept, covering brand strategy, the product offering and pricing, menu development, kitchen design, financial planning and the launch strategy.
